In early to mid-March we asked some of the other area ENPs in the area to share information about their programs so we could learn more about other programs and how they operate:

SENP patrol hours per month for first quarter of 2022 were fewer than planned because we had one officer out because of an on-the-job injury, one officer has been out on paternity leave and one officer is on administrative leave and we’re not sure when he’ll be back. Our program is also competing with other off duty jobs that pay higher per hour than we are able to offer, however, our pay per hour is at the top end of the 5 ENPs we reached out to. We’re working with our DPD ENP coordinator to see what can be done to find more officers.

If you see a crime in progress, call 911 first then the SENP mobile phone. If no one answers, the next officer on duty should return your call or text.
