Schreiber Expanded Neighborhood Patrol (SENP), recognized as a Nonprofit by the Texas Office of the Secretary of State, was started by members of our community who know that to protect our community we need to invest in proactive patrol. With crime increasing in Dallas and a reduced police force, we know that we must band together to protect our homes, cars, and personal property in our community.
Our Schreiber neighborhood boundaries go from 635 to the north, Forest Lane to the south, Inwood to the east and Midway to the west. The neighborhood area has been broken into four areas, see Area Map for definitions.
Areas 1, 2, 3 & 4 membership–We currently have 612 members in these four areas and we hope to obtain more members during our next membership enrollment period, which begins November 1.
Off-duty Dallas Police Department officers patrol our neighborhood in official Dallas Police patrol cars which are leased from the City of Dallas. Hours of patrol are determined by our DPD Schreiber ENP officers. Along with the DPD coordinator, the SENP Board reviews crime statistics in the Schreiber neighborhood areas and all officers are notified if there is an area of crime.
The patrol hours will not be publicly posted on this website or shared publicly with members as we do not want this information to get into the wrong hands. Patrol patterns will be adjusted as needed.
