July 2022 Patrol Hours & Crime Report

Our officers were able to patrol 293.50 total hours in July (a large increase from June) or approximately 71+ hrs/week. 

Crime Stats, July 2022, Weeks Of

July 30
07/28  12240 INWOOD – Forest @ Inwood – business parking lot – burglary of motor vehicle – parked truck overnight near business location – unknown person broke into the truck and stole tools

July 23 
4500 THUNDER between Crestline and Welch – burglary of motor vehicle – entered UNLOCKED contractor vehicle and took tools – witness stated that a “male stole from inside truck” – witness wrote down license number but it was either a fake plate or the license was written incorrectly as the number did not match the description of the suspect’s vehicle.

July 16
07/14  4807 TWIN POST – burglary of motor vehicle – opened UNLOCKED vehicle and took property

July 9
07/04  12834 MIDWAY @ LBJ – burglary of motor vehicle – apartment complex – cut catalytic converter off vehicle.

July 2
06/26  11804 INWOOD (gas station at Forest)  – arson – intentionally set fire to dumpster that spread to exterior of business – investigation handled by Dallas Fire Department

06/27  5037 MILL RUN @ Inwood – burglary of motor vehicle – removed property from vehicle


Fire in the Neighborhood
There was a fire 8/5/22 in the alley between Ellensburg and Ridgeside, reported by a nearby neighbor which was caused by the electrical service.The fire was quickly contained thanks to Dallas Fire Department.
