Here are some things you can do now to help prevent crime:
- Turn on front porch lights every night
- Install cameras near entries/gates
- Lock all gates, front, side, back
- Post alarm company signs front and back
- Get a dog as barking can help deter criminals
- Get a quality home alarm with glass break/ motion/loud alarm
- Remove items from cars/lock cars
- Ask a neighbor or friend to pick up mail and papers when you’re out of town
- Call or text the SENP police officer to ask for out of town home check
