April 2022 Patrol Hours & Crime Report
SENP patrol hours for April are still fewer than what we have planned year-to-date–one of our previous officers is still on administrative leave and our DPD SENP Coordinator doesn’t think the officer will be coming back to SENP. So the search for additional officers continues.
We’re incentivizing our patrol officers to recommend other officers who are willing to work SENP and through that effort we now have one new “relief” officer, Michael Koller. He fills in for other officers if they can’t make their shifts when he can.
We’re still working with our DPD SENP Coordinator to monitor the monthly hours in hopes of increasing the hours our current officers work. Our program is also competing with other paid off duty jobs that pay higher per hour than we are able to offer(special events, clubs, etc.).
We’re considering a pay raise to incentive our officers to choose to work more hours on our SENP patrol rather than taking these other opportunities. We’re not alone in our struggles to find officers to work–some of the other ENPs in the area are facing a similar situation. We’ll keep you posted if any new officers are added throughout the next few months.

Please Keep Us InformedAt SENP we are continually striving to offer the best program around. If you see a crime in progress, call 911 first and then the SENP mobile phone. If no one answers, the next officer on duty should return your call or text. If they don’t do this, please let us know so we can help address any issues with our DPD SENP Coordinator. Instead of calling 911 you can also make a report here:

Keep in mind, the officers may not always be on duty when you call or request your out of town home check. Again, the next officer on duty should reply to your phone call or text but if they don’t, please let us know.
Concerns or questions? Please email us.
Have a great weekend.
