We had hoped to launch patrols before the holidays, but we still haven’t received approval from the Dallas Police Department on the letter of agreement for the police car rental. Apparently, it is in the city attorney’s office waiting to be reviewed. We will update you as soon as we can about when patrols will start.
If you will be out of town over the holidays, please take the following proactive steps:
- Have someone turn on your front porch lights at night
- Leave some lights on in the house and put on a timer, if possible
- Lock all gates, front, side, and back
- Post alarm company signs front and back
- Remove items from cars you leave at your home and lock them
- Ask a neighbor or friend to pick up mail, papers & flyers on your door
